So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of My mouth.” [Revelation 3:16]

It is present-day Jamaica.  Devout head-wrapped Zion revivalist, Mother Iona Rowe (59), the head of the Holy Ways of Christ Revival Church, falls in love with an effervescent and free-spirited young journalist, Brittany (28). These burgeoning desires confound Mother Rowe and so she battles them with her faith, but soon succumbs to her desires, and the women enjoy a beautiful affair. When their sweet secret comes to light, Mother Rowe faces a predicament of stark moral and ethical consequence. She contends with her church which wants her exiled, and her jealous daughter Sutannia (23), who despises her.  Torn between her devotion to the God of her sweet salvation, the love of her child, and the romantic love she has long yearned for, she must make an ultimate sacrifice, for she cannot be “Lukewarm.”
