SYNOPSIS
Berlin, 1923: Sepp Wurm is a former photojournalist who has turned to private detective work to make ends meet, which, given rampant hyperinflation and post-war chaos, is no small task. Hired by an old colleague to investigate the disappearance of an eminent typographer, Sepp finds himself ensnared into an absurd web of blackmail, murder and lethal graphic design. From glitzy cabarets to smoke-filled fascist lairs, sun-drenched nudist communes to shadowy back-alleys, Sepp comes to realize that in a society blissfully unaware of its own descent into madness, the most bedeviling mystery of all may be how to stay sane.
